Ms. Yang Min, the founder of Hanking Group, serves as the Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of Hanking Group and Hanking Microelectronics (Liaoning) Ltd., the Chairwoman of the upervisory Board of Hanking Indonesia Project Company, and the Honorary Chairwoman of China Hanking Holdings Ltd.
Starting her business with a pair of scissors, Ms. Yang established Jingjia Wool Fabric Garment Factory in Fushun in 1982. She founded Hanking Group, the first private joint-venture company in Fushun in 1992, which now becomes the largest private iron ore producer in Liaoning. Hanking later acquired a world-class laterite nickel-cobalt project in Indonesia and a large gold mine in Western Australia. Some of the key iron ore assets were collectively listed in the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. She also established Shenyang Hanking Precision Bearings Ltd. and Hanking Electronics (Liaoning) Ltd. and acquired the MEMS division of US-based Maxim Corporation.
While pursuing her businesses, Ms. Yang never forgets to fulfill her social responsibilities as an entrepreneur. She was elected as a representative of the 11th National People's Congress. She has served various social positions, including Vice Chairwoman of the Presidium of China Mining Association, Vice Chairwoman of China Chamber of Commerce for Metallurgical Enterprises, Vice Chairwoman of Committee of Liaoning Industry and Commerce, Chairwoman of the Liaoning Private Mining Chamber of Commerce, and Honorary Chairwoman of the Fushun Charity Federation.
Ms. Yang was named as the Top 10 Economic Women of China in 2005, awarded the title of national model worker, March 8th Red-bearer twice, and the first “Top 100 Outstanding Social Contributors” as well. She was named as the national Outstanding Entrepreneur in Caring for Employees, the national “Outstanding Entrepreneurial Woman”, the first "Builder Medal" of Liaoning Province, and the first Liaoning Charity Award.
