Amidst the warm breeze of spring and a jubilant atmosphere, during the prestigious 105th Anniversary of Xiamen University, Ms. Yang Min, Chairwoman of Hanking Industrial Group and Hanking Electronics, and Mr. Huang Xiangxiang, President of Hanking Electronics, paid a special visit to our institute from April 5 to 7. The visit aimed to strengthen long-standing ties, discuss collaborative visions, and uphold the "Lamp-Lighting Spirit," injecting new momentum into the synergistic development of the university, the institute, and the enterprise.

On the afternoon of April 5, a Symposium on University-Institute-Enterprise Cooperation was held at Yixuan Hall, Xiamen University. Attendees included Mr. Chen Xi and Ms. Sun Yi from the Xiamen Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology. The meeting was chaired by Ms. Wang Min, Vice Dean of the institute, who extended a warm welcome to Chairwoman Yang Min’s delegation and expressed gratitude for Hanking Group’s long-term support. She highlighted that Hanking Group, honoring Professor Wen H. Ko’s noble spirit of patriotism, scientific devotion, and commitment to education, has donated an additional 9 million RMB to the Xiamen University Education Development Foundation.

Following the opening remarks, Chairwoman Yang Min and Dean Hong Minghui formally signed the donation agreement. This agreement represents both a tribute to Professor Ko’s "Lamp-Lighting Spirit" and a solid commitment to deepening cooperation between all parties.

After the ceremony, Vice Dean Professor Zhou Wei introduced the disciplinary layout and strategic planning of the upcoming School of Intelligent Manufacturing. He proposed preliminary ideas for future cooperation in fields aligned with the institute’s research strengths and industry needs.

To further implement cooperation, several professors—including Wang Lingyun, Wu Dezhi, Luo Tao, Academician Hong Minghui, Zhu Qingyuan, Guo Hang, and San Haisheng—presented their latest research breakthroughs and technical applications in the field of MEMS (Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems).

During the session, Mr. Chen Xi provided a detailed interpretation of Xiamen’s latest investment promotion policies and industrial support measures. He extended a sincere invitation to Hanking Group to invest and establish industrial facilities in Xiamen.

In her closing remarks, Chairwoman Yang Min expressed her gratitude for being invited to the 105th Anniversary celebration and praised Xiamen’s robust industrial policies. She shared a moving recollection of the selfless guidance and support Professor Wen H. Ko provided during the founding of Hanking Electronics (Liaoning). Chairwoman Yang pledged to take up the mantle of promoting Professor Ko’s "Lamp-Lighting Spirit" by deepening all-around cooperation with the institute in the MEMS sector, focusing on tackling "bottleneck" technical challenges and cultivating talent.
